Crushers, Thrashers & Warriors Undefeated on Day 1
Crushers, Thrashers and Warriors all remain undefeated after Day One at the Bantam A Provincials at CBS Arena. All three teams sport a win and a tie. All six RBC teams struggled to find their rhythm in the opening round of games, but the play ramped up a level as the day progressed. Game 6 between Thrashers and Guardians was clearly the best contest of the day, as the Thrashers penalty kill and the cage work of Luke Gosse denied the Guardians all night and rewarded the Boys in Grey and Black with a 2-0 victory. In earlier games, the Crushers and Warriors tied 1-1, Gladiators surprised the Guardians 4-3, and Generals and Thrashers battled to a 2-2 tie. In Game 4 the Crushers unleashed its offensive attack on the Gladiators and skated away with a 4-1 decision. The Warriors then showed some firepower of its own, delivering a barrage of rubber at the Generals in a 6-3 verdict. Andrew Percy’s hat trick was the highlight of that game. Day Two action begins at 11:30am when the Generals tackle the Guardians in a must-win game for both sides.
