Week 1 in the DJHL Play-offs featured some exciting offensive performances. So it’s no surprise the Sportscraft Stars of the Week highlight several of those scoring feats. First star goes to forward Ewan Cleary of the RBC Falcons for pulling the trigger on a natural hat trick against the RBC Cobras in game 1 and tallying 6 points over two games to help his team advance to the semi-final round. Second star goes to Ryan Hurley, Captain of the RBC Guardians, who stepped up in the first round and led by example. His hard work and unselfish efforts notched him 4 assists in the 7-5 two-game aggregate goal series victory over the RBC Crushers. Third star goes Michael Skinner of the Hawks for tallying three goals and an assist for his team and demonstrating strong play in both ends of the ice, along with delivering several key penalty killing shifts. Special mention to Mark Corbett of the Wolverines for his hat trick in game 1 of his team’s opening round series against the Hawks, and to Evan Brenton of the Hawks for his 4 point performance in game 2 of that series. Three Stars can pick up their gift certificates at Sportscraft on Ropewalk Lane as of Monday.
