Registration for try-outs in the DJHL Pooled Program and the
HNL Minor AAA Program begins August 1st. Parents and guardians
simply need to click the REGISTRATION
button found on the top ribbon of our DJHL web site home page and follow
through to the Google Docs form.
There have been a lot of off-season changes to AAA and AA
hockey and our try-out registration process will reflect those changes.
Consider the following:
·
If a player is trying out for U15 Minor AAA,
then a fee of $120 is paid to DJHL on behalf of HNL (who operates the two
regional pooled teams in the provincial AAA league). It is assumed that if this
player does not make AAA that they will be trying out for U15 Minor AA. In such
cases, online registration does not have to be completed a second time, but a
second fee of $120 has to be paid to the DJHL before attending DJHL try-outs. The
deadline to register for U15 Minor AAA is August 20th.
· If a player is trying out for U13 Minor AAA,
then a fee of $120 is paid to DJHL on behalf of HNL (who operates the three
regional pooled teams that compete in a separate DJHL division and travel for exhibition and
tournament play). With no DJHL U13 Minor AA division existing this season,
players cut from the AAA try-outs must register with their home association to
compete for Club A roster spots. The
deadline to register for U13 Minor AAA is August 20th.
·
Players trying out for U13 Girls AAA and U15
Girls AAA do not register through this DJHL online portal. Instead, they use
the online registration process set up by HNL Female Council. However, anyone
trying out for Girls AAA must be a full-time player in the DJHL Girls Pooled AA Program and register for try-outs by the August 31st deadline.
·
Any inquiries regarding the AAA try-outs at any
level should be directed to HNL officials since the DJHL is at arms length from
the AAA try-out process. Further information on the various AAA try-outs will be posted once available.
