Paradise U11C is Sportscraft Team of Week 3

The DJHL is proud to select the U11C Blue Warriors as our Sportscraft Playoff Team of Week 3.

The boys in blue finished the regular season in 7th place in our new nine team U11C division. In the opening playoff round, they faced the Green Warriors who finished in second place, 16 points and 10 wins ahead of the Blue Warriors. But, in classic underdog fashion, the Blue Warriors rallied from a two goal deficit to pull out a 3-2 squeaker in Game 1 and followed with a 2-0 victory in Game 2 this past week to sweep the series and move on to the semi-finals.

Off ice, the great community work done by this team on behalf of Candlelighters Newfoundland and Labrador has earned them top 10 status in the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup. On March 22nd, during Hockey Night in Canada, they’ll find out if they landed in the top three and win a significant charitable donation that they will provide to Candlelighters Newfoundland and Labrador!

Regardless of the outcomes over the next week or so, both in the second round of the playoffs and in the Good Deeds Cup, these kids already have a lot to be proud of! Bravo Warriors, Bravo!

The Scotiabank DJHL in partnership with Sportscraft is pleased to present the Sportscraft Team of the Week once again during our playoff season. We invite Team Managers to give us a short pitch as to why their team should be considered based on performance, sportsmanship and/or effort. Last year, teams that finished deep in the divisional standings but turned it around in the playoffs claimed the weekly title often. Always include a group photo with the nomination. The weekly deadline for submissions is Sunday night at 9pm and should be sent to djhl.director@gmail.com. Winning teams will receive prizes for all winning teammates compliments of Sportscraft.
