The Don Johnson Hockey League is pleased to release plans for our upcoming 14th season. Details as to how the League will be structured and what parents can expect to pay for participation in our very popular Scotiabank Pooled Hockey Program for U15AA, GU15AA, and GU13AA can be found by downloading the DJHL Operations Plan found on our League Info page under Documents.
Every season brings change and the 2023-24 will be no different. Here are some key changes:
1) League play-offs will be tournament format instead of home & away series based on seeding and leading to a final,
2) League staff will increase to five and consist of the League Director, Scheduler, Registrar, and Managers for both Girls and Minor Pooled Hockey,
3) Non-evaluated practices will precede pooled hockey try-outs,
4) GU15AA will play a full regular season schedule and non-AAA players will be able to also play in provincial AA competition as the DJHL Stars, and
5) Game lengths for U15B and U11A will now go to three 15 minute stop time periods.
The on-line try-out form found on our home page is now live for parents and guardians to register for Pooled AA try-outs. Please note that registering for try-outs for AAA teams operated by HNL is done separate from the DJHL process.
