As the 2020-21 minor hockey season quickly approaches the DJHL board of directors has been diligently working towards a successful and safe return to hockey. After a series of meetings throughout the summer months, and following all the protocols of the Chief Medical Office, the DJHL is pleased to tell its players and parents that we have submitted our proposal for Return To Play to Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador.
We have examined many different options for the coming season, and we feel our proposal is a safe and enjoyable route to take to return to play. The work is out of our hands now, as we must wait to receive approval from HNL, the sports governing body. We don\'t know when that decision will be made by HNL, but as soon as we receive approval (or hear otherwise), we will let you all know.
The DJHL thanks you all for your patience at this time. We are very committed to making hockey\'s return as safe as possible not only for the players, but for the coaches, fans, parents and rinks staff.
Stay tuned to this website as we await word from HNL on our proposal.
